SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Brocade(R) (Nasdaq: BRCD), a leader in data center networking solutions that help enterprises connect and manage their information, today announced the Brocade 7500E SAN Router, a Fibre Channel over IP (FCIP) extension solution for entry-level remote data replication. With the addition of this product, Brocade is expanding its extension portfolio to include a solution that meets the needs of smaller businesses and remote offices. As a result, users in these environments now have an easy-to-use, affordable option for supporting data protection and global data mobility without compromising resiliency and availability.

"Business Continuity and data protection are critical to organizations of all sizes around the world, challenging many IT managers with limited staff and budget resources to deliver data replication for disaster recovery," said Mario Blandini, Director of Product Marketing for the Brocade Data Center Infrastructure Division. "The Brocade 7500E solution for remote data replication provides a new entry point within Brocade's leading portfolio of SAN extension solutions for smaller organizations, and offers a cost-effective remote office option for larger enterprises."
