Fujitsu Picks Emulex I/O Processor

Emulex I/O Processor selected by Fujitsu for SAS/SATA and Fibre Channel connectivity within the ETERNUS2000 storage system

COSTA MESA, Calif. -- EmulexCorporation (NYSE:ELX) today announced that the Emulex IOP 502M hasbeen selected by Fujitsu Limited for integration into the ETERNUS2000Storage System to provide a single-chip solution for simultaneousfront-end Fibre Channel SAN connectivity and back-end SAS/SATA diskconnectivity.

The Emulex IOP 502M is a single chip Fibre Channel and SAS I/Oprocessor delivering the lowest implementation cost on the market andis compatible with Emulex's Service Level Interface (SLI) for drivercompatibility. The Emulex IOP 502M also offers an Intel(r) XScale(r)processor to house applications, such as on-board RAID.
