IRVINE, Calif. -- iStor Networks, Inc. , www.istor.com, a leading provider of iSCSI storage solutions, today announced that iStor’s integraStor™ iS325 series storage array has been qualified with VMware ESX Server 3.

Based on the completion of interoperability testing, the integraStor iS325 is now included in the Storage / SAN Compatibility Guide for VMware ESX Server 3 as a supported storage platform. This compatibility is designed to provide all customers with a jointly supported environment when deploying VMware Infrastructure 3 with iStor integraStor storage products.

By deploying an iStor Networks integraStor iS325, IT managers can leverage a simple, reliable, and cost-effective virtual storage solution that can adapt to changing storage requirements.

By passing VMware’s stringent compatibility testing, iStor’s products provide customers the confidence of a mutually supported virtualization solution when deploying VMware Infrastructure 3 with iStor’s iSCSI storage.

The entire integraStor family was specifically designed as simple to use, cost-effective storage for business environments, and to complement leading applications such as VMware:

  • As storage requirements grow in future years, the integraStor family provides an extremely cost effective growth path that leverages a customer’s investment throughout the lifecycle of the product.

  • A key market differentiator of the integraStor family is the systems 10GbE high performance architecture, which enables either 8 1GbE ports or a true 10GbE interface in a single storage appliance.

  • Real time volume expansion, along with iStor’s virtualized storage, simplifies the allocation of storage as new virtual machines are brought on line.

”Virtualized servers create a rational consolidation point for early adoption of 10GbE iSCSI SANS since they provide good economic leverage and they can take advantage of the increased bandwidth,” said Kevin Daly, CEO of iStor networks.
