TINLEY PARK, Ill. -- PANDUIT, a world-class developer and provider of leading-edge physical infrastructure solutions, augments its portfolio to support mission-critical data center applications. Specifically, PANDUIT has developed an innovative approach to certifying fiber optic cabling systems for 100 Gb/s multi-lane data communication.

PANDUIT will discuss its research findings at the September 16th DatacenterDynamics Conference at the Hilton Chicago. The presentation, titled "Certifying Multimode Fiber for 100 Gb/s Ethernet Transmission," will be delivered at 2:10 p.m. in Hall 3 and will address parameters that govern multimode fiber (MMF) performance at speeds of 40 and 100 Gb/s.

Using its advanced test measurement system, PANDUIT quantified variation and consistency in key parameters affecting fiber performance for high-speed multi-lane data communication, and characterized differences in fiber manufacturing processes. Dr. Rick Pimpinella, Manager of Fiber Research at PANDUIT Laboratories explains, This research will ensure the development of highly reliable multimode fiber solutions that are compliant with next-generation 40-100 Gb/s Ethernet standards.”
