ATTO FastStream SC 5300 RAID storage controller approved for use with Avid NewsCutter systems

AMHERST, N.Y. -- ATTO Technology, Inc., a global leader of storage connectivity and infrastructure solutions for data-intensive computing environments, announced today that Avid(r) Technology, Inc. has qualified the ATTO FastStream(tm) SC 5300 RAID Storage Controller for use with Avid(r) NewsCutter(r) nonlinear editing systems.When using Avid NewsCutter editing systems along with Avid MediaDock(tm) Ultra320 local storage system, the ATTO FastStream SC 5300 storage appliance provides RAID protection to critical data while maintaining full system performance. Designed as an external device which integrates with JBOD or RAID storage, the FastStream SC product family adds data protection and storage networking with the high performance needed for uncompressed high-definition video production. Additionally, with a central point of management, the FastStream SC allows multiple editing suites to be managed from a single location, even remotely, making it simple to maintain and monitor storage.

ATTO developed the FastStream RAID data protection solution to integrate seamlessly into Avid post production environments.
