ALISO VIEJO, Calif. -- 3Tera, Inc., the leading innovator of cloud computing technology and utility computing services, announced today support for Suns Solaris™ 10 Operating System (OS) and the OpenSolaris™ operating system in the 2.3 Beta release of its award winning AppLogic™ grid operating system. Inclusion of the Solaris 10 OS and OpenSolaris is the first step of delivering a complete Web services solution stack based on Sun products to be incorporated into the Cloudware™ architecture, announced earlier this year.

“AppLogic technology and 3Tera’s business model of working with leading data center operators has demonstrated the ability to make world class cloud computing infrastructure widely available, removing barriers for companies of all sizes to adopt leading edge infrastructure for their business,” said Juan Carlos Soto, vice president of global market development and engineering, Sun Microsystems. “Adding Solaris support to AppLogic allows companies to tap into Sun’s proven network computing expertise and rich development community to build and deploy highly scalable, high performance Web applications and services.”
