SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Computer Guidance Corporation, the leading developer of financial and project management software solutions for the commercial construction industry, expands its disaster-recovery and high-availability services with clustered servers and storage area networks — enabling contractors to quickly recover critically important financial and operating information following an IT system failure, natural disaster, or human tampering.

The Disaster Recovery Data Center is in a Level IV Data Center, managed by Computer Guidance and hosted by Avnet as part of the service offering intended to reduce risk in the event of a system or natural disaster, while keeping disaster preparedness planning / costs to a minimum. “We selected Avnet’s Data Center because of our long-standing relationship, their world-class facility and the fact IBM relies on it for their disaster recovery” stated Deb Canning, IT Manager at Computer Guidance.

Ensuring continuous availability of system applications should be an integral part of everyone’s annual corporate business plan. When so much of your business relies on information systems, Computer Guidance now offers the required assurance that any disaster downtime will be kept to an absolute minimum.

Computer Guidance will set up the customer’s IT system to replicate data so that it is easily recovered and quickly available in the event of a system outage. The offerings will include High Availability server clustering to ensure continuous availability of mission critical applications. Reliability, short recovery time, reduced risk and operational continuity are just some of the advantages of this offering.

“Implementing the right high-availability solution enables a contractor to ensure operational continuity, continuous availability of business-critical applications, and protection of corporate assets,” Roger Kirk, President/CEO of Computer Guidance noted. “It provides construction companies with the peace of mind that comes with knowing their essential data is completely safe.”Computer Guidance Corp.
