eBay is in talks to buy out VoIP maker Skype for between $2 billion to $3 billion, the Wall Street Journal reported today.

eBay is in talks to buy out VoIP maker Skype for between $2 billion to $3 billion, the Wall Street Journal reported today.

This is the second time this year that Skype has been reported as the subject of buyout rumors. Earlier this year, a British newspaper reported that Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. was considering offering $3 billion for the company.

The Luxembourg-based Skype will not comment on the Wall Street Journal report. "We're not commenting on rumors,'' Kat James, Skepe spokeswoman told the Associated Press, when asked about the buyout report..
