Neterion promotes Jon Belcher to vice president of worldwide sales

CUPERTINO, Calif. -- Neterion, Inc., the industry leader in 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10 GbE) adapters for server and storage environments, announced that Jon Belcher has been promoted to the position of Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Belcher joined Neterion a year ago and has effectively served as Vice President of OEM Sales since that time. Belcher has over 15 years of sales and executive sales management expertise in both US and international markets from his experience with Fujitsu, Crossroads Systems, Quantum Corporation and Neterion.
Belcher's leadership spans international high-technology companies focused on the development of primary storage and networked storage solutions. He has expertise in building solid sales teams, winning new business and establishing long-term relationships with global technology firms. This experience will play an important role in enabling Neterion to promote its industry-leading 10 GbE and I/O Virtualization (IOV) solutions to enterprise datacenters.
As the Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Belcher is responsible for driving sales and advancing relationships with key OEM and channel customers. In addition, Belcher will establish new partnerships to execute Neterion's strategy to drive high-growth technologies based on 10 GbE, server virtualization and networked storage with I/O solutions that offer breakthrough system performance to enterprise datacenters.
Prior to joining Neterion in 2007, Belcher spent three years at Quantum Corporation, where he oversaw worldwide OEM sales, realizing $350M of annual revenue, increasing Quantum's automation market share by 10% through new product awards and developing strong relationships with strategic customers, including Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Dell and Sun Microsystems. Belcher's leadership efforts at Quantum led to reducing sales OPEX by nearly $4M annually while simultaneously growing the automation business.
