CUPERTINO, Calif. -- Packeteer, Inc. (Nasdaq: PKTR - News), the global leader in high-performance, intelligent WAN Application Delivery, today announced that it has received an unsolicited acquisition proposal from Elliott Associates LP and Elliott International, L.P. The Company said that its Board of Directors will evaluate this proposal carefully and promptly, consistent with its fiduciary duties and in light of the best interests of the Company's stockholders.
