Reconnex opens new product development center in India

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Reconnex, the leader in data loss prevention appliances, today announced that it has opened a new product development center in Pune, India, that will focus on developing innovative technology solutions for its product line. The company has appointed Anand Kekre as country manager. He has more than 15 years experience in software R&D, most recently growing VERITAS Software (now Symantec) in India from a few engineers to more than 1,200.

"This is a time of tremendous growth at Reconnex, as we scale up our activities in India," said Kuldeep Sandhu, vice president of engineering at Reconnex. "The top-flight team in India complements our U.S.-based engineering organization and intensifies our focus on developing market-leading products and technologies for the worldwide market. Anand has a history of creating strong software development organizations from scratch, and we anticipate that our India Center will have more than 40 employees within a year."

The Reconnex India team includes 21 engineers with an average of six years of experience, one of the highest in the Indian software industry, and a history of innovation and execution of ideas, with a total of over 100 patent applications. All senior managers and architects have extensive experience in developing enterprise products in the storage, networking, and security domains.
