MILPITAS, Calif. -- HighPoint Technologies, announce that its family of RocketRAID (3000, 2000 and 1000) series of SATA RAID controllers support Microsoft Windows Server 2008.

The HighPoint RocketRAID (3000, 2000, and 1000) Series of SATA RAID controllers are optimized for server environments running Windows Server 2008 to deliver industry leading performance and storage data protection. HighPoint is committed to delivering products that are fully compatible with the newest Microsoft operating system that are typically run in the SMB (Small-Medium Business) environment and the enterprise storage customer.

The RocketRAID 3000 Enterprise series includes 4 and 8 channel PCI-Express x8 hardware RAID controllers powered by Intel IOP341 (800MHz) processors. The RocketRAID 2000 Value Line series includes PCI-Express and PCI-X hardware assisted RAID controllers with 4 to 16 channels for internal and external storage. The RocketRAID 1000 Upgrade series includes 2 to 4 channel SATA II RAID controllers offering the best data protection and storage manageability versus onboard RAID solutions.

Some of the new features in Microsoft Windows Server 2008 include automating daily management tasks, solidifying security and improving efficiency. The virtualization solutions will help to enable IT administrator to reduce cost, increase hardware utilization and improve server availability.
