Tandberg Data enhances Half-Height LTO-drive offering

OSLO, Norway -- Tandberg Data, the global supplier of data protection solutions, today announced the availability of a 1U rackmount for LTO Half Height drives, enabling users to add up to 2 drives in a 1U rack enclosure. Tandberg Data also introduced the LTO-4 HH external SAS drive. Businesses that do not have a rackmount server and who are looking for an external tape drive solution, can opt for the new LTO-HH SAS drive, and benefit from increased speed, reliability, and low power consumption.

LTO is the technology of choice for both SMB users, with more than 95% market share in the midrange tape segment. LTO tape technology offers customers great value, exceptional performance and reliability, with the lowest storage costs for long term storage of data of any technology in the market. Customers have different storage environments and by offering various generations, connectivity options and enclosures, customers can select the LTO drive that meets their specific requirements.
