SAN FRANCISCO -- Verbatim Americas, LLC, a global leader in the development and marketing of high-quality products for storing, moving and using digital content, announced at Macworld today its new family of Store 'n' Go Micro USB drives for Windows® and Mac® users. Measuring only 1.22” long, ½” wide and 0.08” thick, the drives weigh .05 ounces--virtually nothing. The ultra-small, ultra-portable vibrantly colored drives will be available later this month with capacities of 2GB (orange), 4GB (green) and 8GB (purple). For security conscious PC users, the Store ‘n’ Go Micro USB Drives also include password security features to protect sensitive data in a user defined private zone, while allowing a public zone for open access and sharing of non-sensitive content.

To achieve capacities of 2, 4 and 8GB in such an ultra-small, ultra portable form factor, Verbatim Store 'n' Go Micro USB drives feature new system-in-package (SIP) technology. SIP technology encapsulates all of the electronic components into a single miniaturized and sealed unit. As a result, the tiny drives resist water, dust, physical shock, electrostatic discharge (ESD) and are small enough and tough enough to take almost anywhere.

"We’re excited about our new Store 'n' Go Micro USB Drives because while they perform data storage duties just like ordinary flash drives, they’re much more portable and rugged due to the smaller encapsulated SIP form factor," said Mark Rogers, Verbatim Product Manager. “This device is intended to be clipped on a key ring, PDA or cell phone with the included mini lanyard, so your data is always conveniently at hand.”
