Altiris Plays Role In Rebuilding Of Iraq

Altiris client, asset and server management software will be used for ongoing management of numerous networks and associated IT assets.

Altiris announced on Wednesday that the Multi-National Force - Iraq and the Iraqi government, formerly the Coalition Provisional Authority, have chosen Altiris client, asset and server management software for ongoing management of numerous networks and associated IT assets. 3H Technology (3HT) assisted with the installation of Altiris software.

The Multi-National Force and the Iraqi government will use the product in their efforts rebuild the Iraqi infrastructure, which includes the development and management of an efficient and secure IT infrastructure. According to an Altiris spokesman, the Iraqi IT infrastructure requires real-time inventory and software vulnerability assessment to ensure current patch levels and network security. In addition, several separated networks with thousands of workstation and desktop users need to be maintained.
