Sonasoft, Inc. on Thursday announced Point-Click Recovery, a new data management console for Microsoft Exchange Server designed to simplify and automate the back up and recovery process. The San Jose, Calif, backup company's turnkey solution backs up data as well as data on corresponding domain controller active directory files, without stopping services or suspending e-mail access to users.

When recovery is required Point-Click Recovery automatically selects the appropriate files and restores the server to its original state. The new product works with Exchange Server 2000 and 2003. Sonasoft president Andy Khanna said, "E-mail is usually seen as the most vulnerable business-critical application, and that makes a simple, reliable backup and recovery strategy essential for business continuity."

Point-Click Recovery also provides tools that provide centralized administration and management of Exchange servers. When combined with the backup and recovery tools, the product becomes a powerful systems administration product. Further information can be found at www.sonasoft.com.
