WysDM releases next-generation Data Protection Management (DPM) product and adds WysDM for Disks to its software suite

DALLAS -- WysDM Software,Inc., the leading provider of advanced data protection management (DPM)solutions, today announced WysDM 4, the latest release of its DPM softwaresuite which includes major enhancements to its WysDM for Backups(TM) andWysDM for Fileservers(TM) products. The company also added a new product toits solution suite, WysDM for Disks, which brings WysDM's market-leading DPMfunctionality to disk arrays. Throughout the new WysDM 4 platform, thecompany has added significant advances in compliance and risk mitigation,security, and capacity planning to provide businesses with a full picture oftheir data protection risk while reducing the time to provision storage andenhancing overall storage utilization.

Large enterprise customers across 26 countries in financial services,pharmaceutical and telecommunications are seeing significant benefits withWysDM's DPM offering. BT (formerly British Telecom) is one of the world'sleading providers of communications solutions and services operating in 170countries.

WysDM 4 includes a comprehensive set of new features to deliver reports thatmeet the requirements for compliance regulations as well as best practicesto ensure that audits against such regulations are successful. WysDM forBackups also provides a number of reports and analyses that give dataprotection administrators visibility into the effectiveness of their dataprotection environment, including alerts whenever a system has not beensuccessfully backed up and end-of-month reports that expose key compliancemetrics to managers and auditors.
