Compuware Corporation has announced a new version of its Vantage application service management system with enhanced support for Citrix access infrastructure software. With Compuware Vantage, IT organizations can track enterprise application performance from an end-user perspective, letting them respond quickly to service interruptions and degradations and optimize application delivery across geographically diverse locations. The new version of Vantage features improved visibility into applications delivered through the Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server, and new prediction capabilities for the Citrix WAN workload. This allows IT organizations to anticipate service demands and balance workloads in a Citrix environment more effectively.

"Compuware Vantage provides a complete picture of the Citrix environment," Compuware's Vantage Product Manager Lloyd Bloom, said in a statement. "When coupled with proven best practices, Vantage enables organizations to benefit from the full potential of the Citrix solution. Furthermore, through value-added services expertise, we can help clients realize this potential immediately."

To ease Vantage deployment, Detroit-based Compuware has developed best practices that establishes a global view of Citrix application services, configures the network and servers and sets baselines for application performance.
