Seacor selects Blue Coat appliances for WAN optimization, security, and critical VOIP improvements

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Blue Coat Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: BCSI), the leader in WAN Application Delivery and Secure Web Gateway, today announced that SEACOR Holdings Inc., a global provider of marine support and transportation services, has selected Blue Coat ProxySG® appliances to optimize its Wide Area Network (WAN) through providing visibility, security, control and acceleration of application traffic between its U.S. offices. In the future, SEACOR plans to add Blue Coat appliances to its international offices and some other smaller U.S. sites.
