The Infoblox-2000 is an integrated DNS/DHCP appliance aimed at large enterprises and service providers supporting growing numbers of IP-enabled devices and applications. Infoblox says the appliance delivers up to 75,000 DNS queries and 750 DHCP leases per second. The 2000 supports anycast addresses, which means it can be used to distribute DNS and DHCP requests to other appliances in a grid. In addition to DNS and DHCP functions, the appliance also can be used for IP address management (IPAM), RADIUS, file transfer (TFTP/HTTP), network time (NTP) and other applications. Pricing starts at $47,995.
