BakBone Appoints Auditor

SAN DIEGO -- BakBone Software, Incorporated (Pink Sheets:BKBO), a global provider of heterogeneous integrated data protection solutions, announced the appointment of Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C. as the Company's new independent auditor effective August 13, 2008. Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C., an independent registered public accounting firm, was approved by the Audit Committee of the Company's Board of Directors following the evaluation of audit proposals and discussions with several public accounting firms. Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C. replaces Deloitte & Touch LLP.
