NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. -- InteliCloud, a developer and manufacturer of next-generation network equipment, today announced the closing of its Series A round of financing led by Media One Direct, a company that is developing and building a next-generation content delivery network.

InteliCloud is applying the funds to support and fulfill orders for the recently launched InteliCloud 360, a re-imagined network infrastructure that tightly integrates off-the-shelf components with proprietary hardware and software into a single chassis, dramatically simplifying the operation, scalability and overall agility of the network.

This funding gives InteliCloud the ability to capitalize on opportunities in the rapidly changing datacenter market and demonstrates support for InteliCloud’s ability to provide seamless scalability to address growth in content, services and delivery that enhance the user experience,” said Ken Hubbard, president and CEO of InteliCloud. “The company has been very judicious in its spending of investment funds to this point, using best-of-breed technologies, outsourcing and partnerships to bring the InteliCloud 360 to market in a highly cost-efficient manner. We plan on continuing that strategy going forward.”
