Brocade Boasts Dell'Oro Figures

Brocade continues strong SAN market share and leadership following McDATA acquisition

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Brocade(R)(NASDAQ:BRCD)the leader in networked storage solutions that help enterprises connect and manage their information, today announced that the company continues its strong market share position as the leading provider in the Storage Area Network (SAN) connectivity market.

According to The Dell Oro Group's SAN market report released yesterday, Brocade's share of the overall SAN market in the first half of calendar year 2007 was approximately 73 percent, as measured in SAN ports sold. Brocade completed its acquisition of McDATA on January 29, 2007. Prior to the acquisition, in the second calendar half of 2006, Dell Oro estimates show that Brocade's overall share combined with McDATA's overall share was also approximately 73 percent.

"Brocade's integration of McDATA has been focused on both cost savings and customer satisfaction," said Steve Duplessie, Founder and Senior Analyst of the Enterprise Strategy Group, an IT analyst firm based in Milford, Massachusetts. "Clearly a priority for them has been to directly communicate their value proposition and roadmap to retain and strengthen their combined installed base."
