ColdWatt has joined The Green Grid to address energy efficiencyin data centers

AUSTIN, Texas -- ColdWatt Inc., a supplierof innovative digital power conversion technologies, has joined TheGreen Grid, a global consortium dedicated to developing and promotingenergy efficiency for data centers and information services. As aninnovator in the power supply market, ColdWatt is investing intechnologies aimed at improving overall power consumption in the datacenter.

"By looking beyond the power supply 'silver box,' we take a holisticapproach to energy efficiency that helps solve IT managers' powerchallenges and reduce end users' operational expenditures," said DanArtusi, chairman and CEO of ColdWatt. "Joining The Green Grid is anatural extension of this strategy and will allow us to work withother industry leaders to make a significant impact on the datacenter ecosystem, as well as the environment."

The Green Grid consortium announced its formation and board ofdirectors in late February 2007. The organization brings together keyleaders from critical segments of the data center ecosystem todevelop a unified voice around data center efficiency issues. Itsgoals include defining user-centric models and metrics, anddeveloping and promoting energy efficient standards, processes,measurements and technologies.
