Mellanox InfiniBand delivers breakthrough performance for the new Cray CX1 supercomputer systems

SANTA CLARA, Calif. and YOKNEAM, Israel -- Mellanox Technologies, Ltd. (NASDAQ:MLNX) (TASE:MLNX), a leading supplier of semiconductor-based, server and storage interconnect products, today announced that its InfiniBand adapters and switch silicon ICs provide the leading-edge performance interconnect for the recently announced Cray CX1 supercomputer, an advanced compute system designed for workgroups and departments in larger firms. The new product is targeted to drive high productivity computing farther into the mainstream in a broad array of high-growth IT markets. According to IDC*, high growth is projected in the departmental segment of the technical computing server market, with a revenue CAGR of 11.2% to reach $5.8 billion by 2012.
