COLUMBIA, Md. -- In the first partnership of its kind, AmeriVault Corp., a leading provider of online data backup, off-site storage and recovery services, and the Maryland & District of Columbia Credit Union Association (MDDCCUA), a non- trade association for credit unions, today announced the two organizations have entered into an agreement. Through the alliance, AmeriVault Corp. will provide MDDCUA's 140 members with their pioneering online backup solution at a reduced rate. AmeriVault is the organization's first backup or disaster recovery solution partner.

AmeriVault provides data protection services that automatically and securely deliver disciplined backup and recovery designed for credit unions that are unable to tolerate data loss or downtime. With off-site storage, expert technical support and advanced recovery services, credit unions can focus on core competencies, knowing that they are fully protected. Managed solutions include online data backup and recovery, e-mail archiving, and real-time replication that deliver total automation, maximum security and regulatory compliance.

"We are constantly seeking solutions that add value for our members," said Paul Rosenberger, Chief Operating Officer of MDDCCUA. "Under this agreement, our members are able to reduce their backup expenditures by replacing expensive tape backup with advanced backup efficiency and recovery. More importantly, AmeriVault online backup provides a fail-safe solution that will ensure highly-sensitive data is not compromised and business operations are continued, even in the case of a disaster like 9/11."
