WARREN, N.J. -- Nassoura Technology Associates, LLC (NTA) (http://nta.com), a provider of data center and technology services, has announced the much anticipated release of dcTrack 2.1, the leading data center infrastructure management, automation, and visualization system.

The release of 2.1, which comes on the heels of release 2.0 back in March of 2008, is packed with new features and improvements. The main focus of this release is on reducing or eliminating manual entry of data. A significant effort was made in automating how data can be collected from floor plan drawings, servers, rack PDUs, UPS systems, CRAC units, and other data center assets.

Some of the major additions include auto-discovery via SNMP protocol of servers to streamline the initial database population as well as after-the-fact verification and auditing of existing asset entries. dcTrack™ 2.1 now includes the ultimate flexibility in SNMP auto-discovery by incorporating a built-in SNMP MIB browser that allows end-users to browse and walk third-party vendor MIBs as well as linking relevant MIB objects to dcTrack™ fields. dcTrack™ 2.1 now can auto-discover server IP and MAC addresses, server applications, and server peripherals such as processor, memory, disks, and disk capacity.
