CARLSBAD, Calif. -- Dot Hill Systems Corp. (Nasdaq: HILL - News), a market leader in providing flexible storage offerings and responsive service and support to OEMs and system integrators, and Promark Technology, Inc., a premier value-added distributor focusing on data storage and document imaging products and solutions, announced today the two companies have expanded their partnership to bring cost-effective, high-performance storage solutions to the budget-conscious commercial and government sectors.

Under the terms of the agreement, Promark will be a systems integrator for the Dot Hill 2730 storage platform. Promark will market the product under the brand name "R/Evolution 2730," which will be sold through its channel of storage resellers and system integrators serving both the federal government and commercial sectors. The platform will also be available on Promark's General Services Agreement (GSA) schedule.

Designed for a broad range of applications and operating systems support, the 2730 external RAID storage subsystem features a 4 gigabit (Gb) Fibre Channel host interface, and Serial-ATA (SATA) and Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) disk drives with industry-leading uptime. The 2730 also offers scalability and flexibility, supporting up to 56 high-performance SAS, or low-cost SATA-II drives, or any combination of the two for tiered storage implementations.

Additionally, the 2730 provides superior price performance and is the first disk storage product to incorporate EcoStor(TM) technology, which eliminates batteries from the cache management system and reduces the number of field service calls due to failed or expiring batteries -- producing bottom-line savings for OEMs and system integrators.

"The combination of Dot Hill's strong 20-year heritage of bringing innovative, highly available storage networking solutions and Promark's integration, installation, and service expertise is ideal for meeting customers' expanding storage needs," said Philip Davis, Dot Hill's executive vice president of worldwide field operations. "Customers are faced with the challenge of managing massive volumes of data while working with tight budget constraints. Together, Dot Hill and Promark are well positioned to help organizations better address these challenges.""Promark is proud to add the R/Evolution 2730 to our extensive line of commercial and GSA scheduled products," said Todd Hartung, vice president of Promark Technology. "The product's superior capabilities -- in terms of performance and reliability -- are ideal for our customers' growing needs for sophisticated and scalable storage solutions. We are excited to bring this innovative product to market as the 2730 will provide incremental integration opportunities in both the federal and commercial sectors."

In addition to the Dot Hill 2730 platform, Promark offers Dot Hill's complete line of storage solutions including the SANnet II family of storage solutions which are independently certified to meet the rigorous MIL-STD-810F and NEBS Level 3 requirements of the U.S. Departments of Defense and Homeland Security.
