LSI SAS controller IC powers first SAS-based external storage offering from Dot Hill

MILPITAS, Calif. -- LSI Corporation (NYSE: LSI) today announced that Dot Hill Systems Corp. has selected the LSISAS1068 3Gb/s SAS controller IC to power its 2530 Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) RAID storage solution. The selection underscores the broad market acceptance of LSI SAS technology among enterprise storage OEMs at a time when market demand for SAS external storage offerings is accelerating.
