WESTBOROUGH, Mass. -- ExaGrid Systems, Inc. (www.exagrid.com), the leader in cost-effective and scalable disk-based backup solutions with byte-level data de-duplication, today announced that sales for the second quarter ending June 30, 2007 were up 115% compared to Q2 2006.
Along with strong sales results, the company continued to execute in a variety of important areas during the quarter. Key achievements in Q2 2007 include the following:
Executive appointments: Christopher Bishop and Yee-ching Chao joined the ExaGrid Systems senior management team, as vice president of worldwide sales and vice president of engineering, respectively. Bishop and Chao each bring more than 25 years of senior management experience to the ExaGrid team.
Worldwide distribution: ExaGrid launched sales and marketing efforts into AsiaPac. In addition, ExaGrid expanded its U.S. presence with new offices in Southern California; Dallas, TX; and Atlanta, GA.
New Value Added Resellers: Six new value added resellers (VARs) joined ExaGrid’s Reseller Partner Program during the quarter.
Many new competitive customer wins in key industry verticals: ExaGrid continues to win against its competitors, gaining new customers in key industries such as, healthcare; financial services; engineering services; manufacturing; education and municipal government. Product enhancements: In Q2, ExaGrid announced that its Disk-based Backup system now supports EMC NetWorker™ software. EMC NetWorker joins a growing list of leading backup applications supported by ExaGrid. Supported, test-certified, applications include: CA ARCserve®, CommVault® Galaxy™, Symantec Backup Exec™, Symantec Veritas NetBackup™ and Microsoft SQL® “Dumps.”
Expanding industry partnerships and co-marketing: In Q2 ExaGrid continued joint sales and marketing campaigns with several backup software leaders, including: Symantec, CommVault and CA.
