RA'ANANA, Israel -- Exanet, the leader in software-based, clustered enterprise Network Attached Storage (NAS), today reported it has seen a significant surge in its customer base in the first quarter of 2007, fueled in large part by the introduction of its ExaStore - ICMT (Intelligent Cluster Management) storage solution and an increase in adoption by storage service providers over the world.

Recent SSP customer wins include New York City based Data Storage Corporation, a leading-edge, offsite data vaulting service bureau; Minnesota based Digitiliti, the leading provider of enterprise online data protection and primary storage consolidation solutions; NetStandard, based in Kansas City, a leading online data backup provider, hosting center and managed services provider for SMBs and Digital Networks Europe, a European service provider with locations in the UK, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

With hundreds of millions of files and several hundred terabytes of information hosted by these full-service SSPs, the challenge of maintaining highly available storage infrastructures in order to protect corporate data at secure, offsite locations has never been more critical. SSPs turn to Exanet to provide a reliable, easy-to-manage solution that can replace 15 different file systems with a single file system in order to better enable them to provide their customers with online disk-to-disk backup for disaster recovery, business continuity and regulatory compliance. As their customer bases continue to grow, they will rely on the scalability of the ExaStore - ICM to serve the increase in users with non-stop access to their business-critical files at an unparalleled performance-to-price ratio.

"Of primary importance to customers searching for data storage solutions is whether their mission-critical data will be available to them when they need it," said Brad Wenzel, CEO of Digitiliti "We chose Exanet's ExaStore system over several others because it ensures our clients will have extremely fast and reliable access to their data even with massive amounts of large, small and mixed files. ExaStore was the only NAS architecture capable of handling billions of files, while offering the most attractive pricing that adds to our bottom line."
