Hitachi to Resell Onaro

BOSTON -- Onaro, Inc., the leader in storage service management (SSM), today announced that Hitachi Data Systems Corporation, the leading provider of Application Optimized Storage solutions and a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (NYSE: HIT), has signed a global agreement to resell Onaro’s SANscreen storage management software. Under the terms of the agreement, Hitachi Data Systems will market, sell and provide first-level support for Hitachi Data Systems’ SANscreen customers. This new sales and support channel is expected to accelerate Onaro’s already triple digit growth rate.

SANscreen complements Hitachi’s “best in class” HiCommand® Suite Software for storage management with service management capabilities. The combination of Hitachi HiCommand Suite Software and SANscreen provides Hitachi Data Systems a powerful solution for helping customers align storage infrastructure with application requirements.
