Implementation of Mellanox's Virtual Protocol Interconnect slashes data center costs and complexity with unified end-to-end fabric

SUNNYVALE, Calif. and YOKNEAM, Israel -- Mellanox Technologies, Ltd. (NASDAQ: MLNX; TASE: MLNX), a leading supplier of end-to-end connectivity solutions for data center servers and storage, today announced the immediate availability of BridgeX™, the industry’s first gateway solution supporting Virtual Protocol Interconnect™ (VPI) technology. BridgeX, together with Mellanox ConnectX® adapters and switch solutions, provides full end-to-end true networking consolidation for building green datacenters and the most efficient high performance clustering. With BridgeX, data centers will be able to retain the value of legacy storage and Ethernet systems, while maximizing overall efficiency and guaranteeing future proof infrastructure.
