SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 14. NETGEAR, Inc., a worldwide provider of technologically innovative networking solutions for businesses and homes, today announced that it has launched a worldwide technology partnership with Veeam Software, the market leader in VMware backup and replication software. NETGEAR ReadyNAS network storage solutions provide a cost-effective and less complex platform for VMware. The two vendors' products can be used in tandem to streamline disaster recovery and reduce costs in VMware environments. The partnership further strengthens NETGEAR's business-class solutions ecosystem while providing channel partners and end users with flexible and affordable storage options.

"Together, NETGEAR and Veeam are giving businesses simple access to the same smart IT tools that the big enterprises are using, but at a fraction of the cost," said Drew Meyer, director of storage marketing, NETGEAR. "This is also great for our channel partners who can now easily use ReadyNAS and Veeam's software together to build less complex back-up and recovery solutions for the virtualized and VMware environments they serve."

NETGEAR ReadyNAS for business systems have been tested with Veeam Backup & Replication(TM), ensuring interoperability and compatibility in VMware environments.
