Nexsan Adds SAS System

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- Nexsan, a leading provider of energy-efficient storage, today announced SASBeast, a highly reliable enterprise-class green storage solution that is ideally suited for both transactional and high-capacity applications. SASBeast meets an increasing need in the market for a single solution that delivers both high performance and high capacity in a small footprint.

SASBeast provides customers with an extremely flexible, energy-efficient and affordable storage system. It features up to 42 disks in just 4U, with up to 18.9TB of SAS capacity. SASBeast also accommodates both SAS and SATA disks in a single chassis and provides simultaneous Fibre Channel and iSCSI connectivity and operating system independence.

The new solution gives customers unprecedented energy efficiency with new optimized cooling capabilities and Nexsan’s next-generation MAID technology, AutoMAID™. AutoMAID can reduce data storage energy costs up to 60 percent without impacting application performance.
