Novell's Linux Support
Novell is going a long way to support Linux in a meaningful, rather than a symbolic way.

Just before LinuxWorld, Novell released Nsure Identity Manager 2 (formerly DirXML), which lets admins sync the authentication and authorization of separate systems.
At the show, Novell introduced exteNd 5. The offering supports Linux within its Web services framework, helping companies expose corporate systems to end users. With a single secure portal, end users can find the company information they need.
These tools do far more than make Linux an alternative to what you have now. Novell is providing truly cross-platform solutions, letting you choose the platform that best suits you. EDirectory, for example, runs on AIX, Linux, HP-UX, NetWare, Solaris and Windows.
Most of us will never run just one OS. We must find ways to link our systems together and "just make it work."
