QLogic Widens Lead

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. -- QLogic(r) Corp.(Nasdaq:QLGC), the leader in Fibre Channel host bus adapters (HBAs), rankednumber one and gained ground in every category of 2Gb and 4Gb Fibre ChannelHBA market share, according to the Dell'Oro SAN Report covering the fullyear 2006. QLogic overall Fibre Channel HBA revenue market share in 2006 was49.2 percent, an increase of 13.2 percent.

QLogic overall Fibre Channel HBA port market share in 2006 was 49.5 percent,an increase of 7.2 percent. In the important new market for 4Gb FibreChannel HBAs, which now comprises approximately half of all HBA shipments,Dell'Oro reports that QLogic achieved year-over-year revenue share growth of97 percent (23.1 share points) and port share growth of 81 percent (21 sharepoints), resulting in the number one position for 4Gb HBAs. QLogic revenuemarket share was 49.5 percent and port market share was 46.9 percent for 4GbHBAs.

"QLogic is seeing a trend in the world's largest corporations towarddeployment of a common HBA infrastructure for all server and operatingplatforms," said Roger Klein, vice president and general manager, QLogicComputer Systems Group.
