LAS VEGAS -- Seagate (NYSE: STX - News) dramatically expands the role storage plays in today's digital lifestyle at the 2007 International CES show this week with the introduction of its new FreeAgent data movers, a groundbreaking family of solutions that give consumers and professionals anytime, anywhere access not only to their digital content, but also their Internet favorites, desktop settings, email and more. The company further underscored its leadership by shipping the industry's first single platter 60GB 1.8-inch hard drive, introducing a new program to facilitate hard drive integration into CE market applications and demonstrating a wide range of storage solutions that help deliver content to home, mobile, desktop and automotive devices.

"Digital content has evolved to play a huge role in home entertainment, automotive, computing and communication devices, and Seagate has enabled that evolution by transforming storage," said Bill Watkins, Seagate CEO. "We've broken out of traditional 'storage in the box' thinking to create more dynamic, interactive solutions that not only store but also manage, access and enable protection of the valuable and ever growing collection of digital content that today's consumer enjoys. Seagate is delivering content whenever, wherever and however you want it."
