5:30 PM -- Don't worry -- I haven't disappeared, we have just rolled NDCF into Byte & Switch, where I am now a fully paid-up member of their fraternity. Let me tell you, the hazing ceremony at last week's Storage Networking World was terrifying. I can't give you the full gory details (they would probably kill me) but it involved candles, plenty of Latin, and some Storage Technology Corp. (StorageTek) (NYSE: STK) tape drives. The Skull & Bones has nothing on these guys!

Apparently, there was also some discussion about whether this blog should be named "The Gay Blade." Hmmmm, interesting -- I have never really seen myself as a Gay Blade, although, who knows, just maybe, in a certain light...
