Sun Unveils Low-Cost Array update from April 2007

SAN DIEGO -- Sun Microsystems, Inc. (NASDAQ:SUNW) today announced it has expanded its leading storage portfolio to include the Sun StorageTek(TM) ST2500 Low Cost Array (LCA), Sun's first serial-attached SCSI (SAS) storage array and newest member of the modular disk storage family that works with the Solaris(TM) Operating System (OS) and other heterogeneous data center environments. Sun also announced next-generation data management capabilities for itsindustry- standard storage portfolio that include the addition of partitioning functionality to its StorageTek(TM) SL8500 enterprise tape library and secure encryption to its Sun StorageTek(TM)T10000 FICON tape drive.

As more Web 2.0 companies and existing enterprises like Elektrofilm, Rhythm and Hues, and Thought Equity Motion move their growing core businesses to the Internet, the way the world manages data is changing to support this resulting data growth.
