DALLAS -- Tek-Tools Software announced today that it has achieved Principal Partner status in the Sun Partner Advantage Program, for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). As a Principal Partner, Tek-Tools has met Sun's stringent criteria for excellence as a supplier of storage management solutions. Membership at the principal level demonstrates Tek-Tools commitment to tight strategic and technical alignment with Sun, and comes on the tail of several years of working directly with Sun StorageTek on various storage programs.

By achieving Principal Partner status, Tek-Tools joins the growing community of ISVs that are developing applications for the Sun platform. With this designation, Tek-Tools will now work more closely in identifying, delivering, and promoting enhanced solutions for mutual customers. Tek-Tools has been welcomed as a Principal Partner on the basis of its innovation, customer focus, and synergy with Sun’s business strategy. This recognition cements Tek-Tools’ reputation as a leading provider of storage and backup reporting and forecasting applications.

“Sun continues to be one of the leading innovators in our industry and the platform of choice for many of our customers,” said Don Purkey, Vice President of Business development at Tek-Tools Software. "We are very proud to have achieved Principal Partner status in Sun’s Partner Advantage Program. This partnership is very important for us and we aim to leverage the skills of both Tek-Tools and Sun to develop unique solutions to meet the needs of both sets of customers.”
