ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. -- ABS Associates, a nationwide provider of outsourced help desk, desktop, managed hosting, and network support and solutions, this month formalized its partnership with online data backup and recovery firm, UbiStor. The alliance allows ABS to add a complimentary technology--SafeStor, a state-of-the-art, online backup system - to its already-existing disaster recovery and business continuity consulting services.

Business Continuity Consulting Services

"As an IT solutions provider, we are always looking for new ways to add value and complimentary services to our portfolio," said ABS Chief Executive Officer Rosemarie Mitchell. "We've been using UbiStor's solution for a number of years for our own data protection requirements, so offering it as a best-of-breed solution to our clients was a natural next step."

By adding UbiStor's backup and recovery capabilities, ABS can now more fully implement disaster recovery, risk mitigation and compliance strategies for clients. Through the ABS Online Backup Solution (powered by SafeStor™), ABS can backup clients' data from myriad locations, including central offices, remote locations, and even laptops. Further, an FIPS-approved, 256-bit AES encryption shields data both in transit and in storage, providing certified and uncompromised security and privacy. Since more than seven of 10 small businesses go out of business within one year of experiencing a major data loss, according to DTI/PriceWaterhouse Coopers, organizations cannot afford not to have a tested disaster recovery plan in place. The partnership between ABS and UbiStor will better enable organizations to meet their disaster recovery and business continuity goals.

"We've enjoyed providing backup and recovery services to ABS over the years and are very excited to extend our business protection strategies and solutions through ABS to their clients," said Dan Hill, CEO of UbiStor, Inc.UbiStor Inc.
