CARY, N.C. -- Arsenal Digital Solutions, the leader in on-demand data protection, today announced that 2006 represented its sixth consecutive year of double-digit revenue and customer growth, and proved the strongest year since establishing the company in 1998.
Underscoring global demand for its comprehensive managed data protection services, Arsenal Digital added eight more petabytes (PBs) of actively managed data storage in 2006. This propelled the company’s active storage footprint to more than 20 PBs for the year – approximately the equivalent of six million feature length movies or 300 million CDs converted to MP3 at high fidelity.

Supporting its solid performance in customer and revenue growth, Arsenal Digital launched major new service offerings, scaled its business for growth in 2007, and positioned itself for the next phase of its expansion in the data protection services market, which IDC estimates as a $16.8 billion market growing at 16 percent a year.
Arsenal Digital’s highlights from 2006 include:
Six consecutive years of double-digit revenue growth
432 percent year-over-year revenue growth for its award-winning ViaRemote® online backup and recovery service
A 206 percent increase in the total number of PC and server customer deployments

Debuting new online backup services for Small to Medium-sized Businesses (SMBs) and consumers with the launches of Arsenal ViaRemote Business Edition and Arsenal PC Vault™ for consumers, building out the industry’s most comprehensive “PC-to-data center information protection” service

“2006 was an outstanding year for Arsenal Digital customers, partners and our employees. We experienced strong growth across all our data protection service offerings, leading to another solid and profitable year in 2006 and we expect 2007 to continue the trend,” said Frank Brick, chairman and CEO of Arsenal Digital Solutions. “Our customers are seeing data growth rates over 50 percent year-over-year, which makes it increasingly hard to protect it effectively. Arsenal Digital has set the standard for on-demand data protection services and we’re committed to expanding upon our position as ‘partner of choice’ moving ahead.”
