Beyond Print 01 - Web 2.0 Roundtable - This is the first episode (download here) in a series of podcasts called "Beyond Print: Getting Your Message Out". This series will cover new media and new web technologies such as blogs, podcasts, social networking, web syndication, Web 2.0 and so forth. We'll be looking at using these new mediums both internally and externally. Every Monday until September 14th, I am going to be discussing, debating or conducting interviews about these new technologies. If you have a strong opinion on these topics, or are using new media technologies at work, please feel free to send me a note. Perhaps you can be on a future episode. This inaugural podcast is a roundtable discussion held at Interop last month. I am joined by John Soat, Dave Greenfield, Curt Franklin and Carol Franklin. We talk a bit about proper use of Web 2.0 technologies, what the tech media should do (and what we are doing), what businesses should do and have a big debate about video. We ask if print is dead and make our predictions on the reader e-poll results.

Next Monday, I'll be talking about the reader e-poll; what are Network Computing readers doing with new media technologies, what they are planning to do, and their opinions on it. The Beyond Print theme music is "Magnesite" by Baroolyo, released under the Creative Commons public domain license.
