Certeon Gets Accreditation

BURLINGTON, Mass. -- Certeon, the industrys first vendor to provide Application

Intelligent Networking™ for significantly accelerating application access over wide area networks

(WANs), today announced that its S-Series™ Application Acceleration Appliances have received the

“Designed for EMC® Documentum®” logo designation, a mark of quality and value that customers

insist on in enterprise applications. The Certeon S-Series Application Acceleration Appliances utilizesApplication Acceleration Blueprint™ software that identifies network traffic streams that need to be

accelerated. The “Designed for EMC Documentum” accreditation demonstrates that the Application

Acceleration Blueprint for EMC Documentum Content Server and eRoom® collaboration software

have successfully met a comprehensive set of criteria for good design, development and

implementation. In addition to the accreditation, Certeon is announcing a referral relationship toincent the EMC sales force to engage Certeon for delivering high performance collaborative

Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions based on Certeon’s S-Series appliances.

The S-Series overcomes the inherent limitations of WAN bandwidth, latency, packet loss and network

contention by employing its unique Application Acceleration Blueprints. Certeon’s Application

Acceleration Blueprint for EMC Documentum Content Server and eRoom identifies the applicationobjects contained within documents and Web traffic, distinguishes differences between those

changes, and then sends the compressed differences over the network. Certeon’s S-Series

increases collaboration and productivity for both Documentum Content Server and eRoom customers

by enabling them to turbo-charge file downloads and page renderings by more than 90 percent. EMC

Documentum Content Server and eRoom customers will be able to realize gains in performance andproductivity while maximizing their existing networking and EMC environments all without replication,

synchronization or modification to their existing environments.

Certeon’s S-Series Application Acceleration Appliances received design accreditation by meeting

high standards for application design, development, configuration, installation processes and overall

quality. As a member of the “Designed for EMC” program, Certeon receives specialized design

consultation and guidance, along with access to dedicated EMC content management technicalresources. Certeon will also be able to include specialized “Designed for EMC Documentum” logos

on packaging, marketing collateral and other promotional materials pertaining to S-Series Application

Acceleration Appliances.
