Google announced at JavaOne this week the availability of its Google Web Toolkit, a free, publicly available Java development framework that enables developers to develop and debug applications in Java and deploy them in AJAX.

Google Web Toolkit includes a number of smart development tools to solve many of the problems typically associated with writing AJAX code. The toolkit includes an innovative Java-to-JavaScript compiler, built-in RPC support, and full-featured Java debugging.
