ATLANTA -- Hannon Hill, makers of web content management solutions for organizations in industries such as higher education, government, and technology, has officially released Cascade Server 6.0, the latest version of its premier enterprise web content management system. With an annual product development theme of "improving the user experience," recent releases of Cascade Server have incorporated new functionality to do just that.

While the Cascade Server 5.x series focused on back-end performance enhancements and flexibility to manage more users, Cascade 6.0 furthers this notion with two new additions: Sites and now fully-customizable Roles. Both improvements are intended to assist in managing the increasing number of large Cascade Server implementations with growing numbers of users and decentralized, independent business units. Additionally, Sites empower content managers with more control over their respective site content and allow Cascade Server administrators to focus on administering the system.

Roles can now be created and fully customized to grant users and groups specific abilities on a per-site basis to meet the infinitely different needs of different organizations. Sites are new asset-types that are used to formally segment and organize assets in the Home and Administration areas. Access to Site-related content is secure and seamless, as Cascade Server 6.0 includes new interface drop-down menus featuring Site-specific components with content viewable based on user Roles and access rights.

Furthering a trend started with the release of Cascade Server 5.7 at the company's 2008 Cascade Server User's Conference, Hannon Hill again chose a public venue to announce and offer to customers the newest iteration of their award-winning CMS. A Beta release of Cascade Server 6.0 was publicized via Hannon Hill's brand new Success Community, powered by eCrowds. The Cascade Server Success Community is an interactive medium for clients and Hannon Hill employees to share ideas and discuss best practices. Additionally, the Success Community is the official home of Cascade Server's wiki, blog, forums, and idea exchanges, making it a fitting arena for releasing a public Beta candidate of Cascade Server.

"Our Success Community has proven to be one of the best additions we've made to our user resources this year," notes David Cummings, founder and CEO of Hannon Hill. "We've found that giving our users a venue for sharing ideas, best practices, and useful content such as code snippets has added to the transparency of our product information and given our community one central location for finding all Cascade Server-related resources."Hannon Hill Corp.
