Just before Interop 2007 began, vendor IoSafe took a few journalists, including NWC's Steve Hill, out to the desert to give them a very unique demonstration of their ruggedized NAS unit. IoSafe contends the device is 'disaster-proof' and can withstand intense heat, water damage, and drops from over 30 feet, and then have the disks recovered and the data remain intact. Could their claims be true, or were they blowing hot air?

Based on the video footage below as well as the image gallery, IoSafe's claims are pretty valid. It may have been a hot time in the desert for the R4, but the results were pretty darn cool.
