NetQOS Hires New VP

LONDON -- NetQoS Inc. has hired Gordon Daugherty tofill the newly created position of vice president of corporate developmentand strategy. In this role, he will lead the company's strategic planningprocesses and oversee corporate development initiatives such as marketexpansion opportunities, investments, and acquisitions.

Prior to joining NetQoS, Daugherty served as chief marketing officer forBritestream Networks, a provider of network security solutions, andpresident of the Americas for VCON, an Israeli-based supplier ofvideoconferencing technology.

Since starting his career at IBM, Daugherty has held middle management andexecutive-level positions in a variety of functional disciplines, includingsales, marketing, product management, and business development. While atCompaq, he led the North American product marketing efforts for the $1.4billion networking, software and server options segment. At VCON, Daughertygrew Americas revenue 340 percent in three years, enabling the company toreach $36 million and execute a successful IPO along the way.Daugherty has a bachelor's degree in computer science from Baylor Universityand is founder and principal of Shockwave Innovations, a marketing andstrategy consulting firm.
