TORONTO -- Opalis Software, Inc., the Run Book Automation (RBA) market leader, today announced completion of the biggest revenue and bookings quarter to date for its third quarter, which ended September 30, 2007. The strong quarter validates the widespread market demand for IT process automation solutions and customer readiness to reap the benefits of improved IT service delivery and business agility within BSM, ITIL and other industry models.

Q3 was our strongest quarter ever, with significant wins and add-on sales in companies including Interpolis in the Netherlands, H.J. Heinz in the United Kingdom, Cedacri in Italy, Parel in France, Amerigas, Disney, Liberty Mutual, Freddie Mac and Solectron in the United States, and Manulife in Canada, as Run Book Automation has essentially crossed the chasm to mainstream adoption in enterprises worldwide,” said Todd DeLaughter, CEO and president for Opalis. “We’ve also displaced BMC’s Service Automation product, formerly known as RealOps, at several large commercial sector accounts, including Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Florida, as well as two large U.S. Government agencies. In an environment of industry consolidation, customers turned to Opalis because we are committed to providing proven technology and successful implementations across their heterogeneous, large-scale IT infrastructures.”

Technology Innovations Drive Customer Adoption in Virtualized and Non-Virtualized Environments

During the quarter Opalis was named winner of the “Best of TechEd Awards 2007” in the Management category. Opalis also announced several key technology innovations, including Opalis Process Catalog for Virtualization, which gives the Global 2000 a market-leading solution for optimizing end-to-end management of virtualized environments, helping IT organizations put virtualization into production, control virtual management costs and improve service quality.

Customers Turn to Opalis for Open, Interoperable SolutionAmong other customer wins, Opalis was selected by the largest government revenue entity in Europe and one of the largest managed service providers in the world who sought solutions for enterprise IT process automation of ITIL best practices that could be easily implemented and integrated with any number of systems management tools.

“Enterprise IT managers speak of their heterogeneous environments in terms of both the devices and the software tools they use to manage the environment. They already have a multitude of systems management tools from a variety of vendors, and need a solution that can orchestrate processes across their existing heterogeneous environments,” DeLaughter continued.
